A Simple Reminder, Believing
by
for HIS glory
Mat 9:27 As Jesus was traveling on from
there, two blind men followed him, shouting, "Have mercy on us, Son
of David!"
Mat 9:28 When he had gone into the house, the blind men came to him.
Jesus asked them, "Do you believe I can do this?" They said to him,
"Yes, Lord!"
Mat 9:29 Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your
faith, let it be done for you!"
JESUS is still asking today, do you believe I can do this?
Believing is not knowing that something can be done.
It is trusting that GOD will fulfill HIS WORD and accomplish great
things because HE loves you. It is entrusting our complete
confidence in what can not be seen, placing our utter expectation in
the so capable hands of JESUS to accomplish HIS will. What is HIS
will? This is why we are told to read, study, meditate and pray
about all things, so that we not only know HIS will but know HIS
will is for you and me and not just a general thing.
It is impossible to truly have faith unless we understand what it is
to believe.
The WORD says: Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God.
As we read more, as we study more, as we pray more and meditate upon
the WORD of GOD more and more, it enables us to hear the soft
utterances the HOLY SPIRIT speaks to our inner being. These
utterances are what renews and transforms our minds, equipping us to
work out our own salvation. Causing us to see like the saints of
old, that without JESUS we are nothing and can do nothing.
Accomplishing in our hearts and minds a true belief. An undeniable
faith, that can indeed move mountains. This can only be done by the
enabling power of grace toward us and in us, it can not be done with
only a brief encounter or a part time relationship with GOD, and the
rest of our lives committed to the world and its needs. We can and
must, only commit ourselves to GOD and HIS purposes.
Obeying the revelation knowledge we have been granted, while
striving and pushing further and further into HIS kingdom. We can
not stop we must run the race to win.
Listening to the voice of a pastor, or reading an article from time
to time does not increase our faith. We have to do our part. Yes we
are to stop being lazy in our pursuit of eternal salvation.
Thank you and GOD bless for HIS glory.
